Psychotherapy in my opinion is a form of education, only the subject of study is ourselves. It is about taking the time to be with ourselves in the presence of another while we discover or recognize our needs, desires, limits, and connection with others. At the same time, I feel that it is a form of resistance. In a world where we are required to accelerate, to increasingly believe we are indestructible and invulnerable, to ignore our vulnerability and need for connection, and to always look forward, a space that allows us to stay connected with our human and universal needs, to stop, to look at ourselves, and to nourish ourselves is crucial.
