An integrative approach to reconnect with one’s own authenticity
In my point of view, psychotherapy is an act of resistance in a world that invites us to see ourselves as increasingly indestructible and invulnerable. It is a way of learning to care for and respect oneself and one’s own limits, through relationships rather than focusing solely on the individual.
My work and training have led me to deepen my understanding of difficulties related to trauma, migration, domestic violence, gender-based violence, and state violence, as well as mood disorders, personal expression, and the relationship with oneself and others.
In parallel, driven by an interest in education as a tool for prevention, I complement my therapeutic practice by creating workshops for families and education professionals, providing tools for more conscious support during the parenting stage.
Relational Psychotherapy originates from Psychoanalysis, diverging from it based on the once “absurd” idea that our environment can affect our psyche and our understanding of the world. We are social and relational beings, and our external reality is just as important as our internal reality.
Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) works with the integration of mind and body. The practice aims to connect with the body, to observe and understand what it is communicating, and to bring bodily and unconscious memory into awareness. In this way, we facilitate bodily and emotional expression through movement dynamics and reflection on them.
Although dancing and moving can have therapeutic effects, the goal is not well-being as an outcome of the practice itself; rather, we prioritize authentic movement over aesthetics or technique.
